For as long as I can remember, I have always been fascinated with photography, which early on meant taking nice pictures. Even as a youngster, my shots consisted of good layouts, balance and theme, but they were only pictures.

In the last 40 years, I have concentrated on taking quality photographs, which began with my first 35mm film camera, the Canon AE-1. For many years, this workhorse camera gave me a solid foundation from which I could produce good photographs. In 1998, I moved into a new phase of photography, with a Nikon N70, 35mm film camera, and began shooting with new enthusiasm.

By the year 2007, it was time not only go digital, but to do so in a way that my work could be profitable. I expanded my equipment to include the Nikon D200 digital camera and accessories, two computers, and editing software. Recently I added a Nikon D700 camera to my camera bag. With this set-up and many years of trial and error learning, I am able to not just take pictures, but to produce quality photographs. I have progressed to the point where I have formed my photography business known as Don Comfort Photography.

Suggest taking a photo-shoot trip and I will be there with my gear, ready to shoot.

Please enjoy the images on my site.
